Pestil Books, established in 2021 as an Instagram-based store by two books-collector & reunited kindergarten friends Aslı Toraman and Naz Beşcan, is driven by the idea of uncovering the unique qualities of vintage books, dated from the 1960s to our day, and taking these gems to new libraries. Pestil Books aims to find old and forgotten books their new home, inspire new and already existing collections, divert the life paths of books, and create a digital archive of publications.

Taking its main inspiration from the textures of Istanbul, Pestil Books sees books as time machines and seeks for the different worlds at different parts of the world. Pestil offers a collection of books and magazines, of both international and local publications, on topics including design, fashion, art, architecture, photography, culture, food, cinema, crafts,  wellness, sex health, travel, and more.
